Bellecroft House – Beautifully renovated, stunning water-front getaway property
What can I say-truly lovely home that has been renovated top to bottom. Great location with views that are to die for. The house was well equipped, cosy and provided lots of space for myself and my three sisters. Walking distance to restaurants and to the Sherwink Trail head – absolutely gorgeous. Chris and Lilly were great hosts. Communication was great, all recommendations they made for food was awesome. This community is perfect. Steps away from a great hiking trail, the Brightside Bistro has delicious food and super friendly service. Watching the waves every morning was more than we could ask for. My sister and I had the most wonderful experience at Bellecroft House. The communication with Lily and Chris upon our arrival was excellent. They provided clear directions to the house. Upon entering the home it was everything we had viewed on the VRBO site. This renovated house was lovely. The views of the bay including the village of Trinity was breathtaking. The house has all the beauty and charm of an historic Newfie house, plus it’s bright, clean, and comfortable. The renovation is brand new, everything is top notch and beautifully done. You cannot beat the views across to Trinity. Access to restaurants, hiking, and town is easy. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked! There is a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Lily texted me restaurant and activity tips and all paid off great. We would absolutely stay again. We only regretted we had to leave so soon. Thank you! Spectacular house of a very high quality in an idyllic location showing a very high level of pride of ownership. We felt like we owned our little secluded and private part of the world located on the waters edge where we took a couple of refreshing dips in the cold Atlantic Ocean. The owners, Lily and Chris, were very friendly and responsive providing great recommendations for activities. We were looking for a place in Trinity/Port Rexton with short notice & we ended up finding a magical place. The house had amazing character, was reasonably priced & wonderful owners (Chris&Lilly). The house is a quiet, old home that has been newly renovated with great attention to detail. We were on the water with nobody around and yet still, close enough to town. Bellecroft house is such a beautiful home and a stunning waterfront property! We are so happy to have found this gem of a home. The home was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. We were two senior couples travelling together and having the use of our own bathrooms was such a great and comfortable convenience. Beautifully, lovingly renovated spacious cottage in an absolutely idyllic setting. Photos don’t do it justice. Foxgloves & other wildflowers are strewn all over the already picturesque waterfront setting. Highly comfortable living room, fully kitted kitchen w everything you might need including delicious coffee. Lovely large luxe bathrooms. Ingenious windows/screens that allow the breeze without the rain. The setting is seriously to die for, looking over the water at Trinity, her lighthouse, & the mountains behind. There’s even a picturesque waterfall down the lane. We were lucky enough to see stunning sunsets & a whale at the mouth of the bay. And more, Lily went completely above & beyond out of her way to solve an issue & ensure a good night’s sleep & stay was had by all. The beds are fantastically comfy. Absolutely could not ask for better hosts. She & Chris were wonderful with communication, & with providing all the lux details that make a house a cozy retreat. And the cottage is walking distance to Brightside Bistro – make your Rez! We couldn’t stay away 3 nights in a row. The property was amazingly beautiful, both the house itself as well as the views. Its located right on the water with a view of Trinity and surrounding scenery. Perfect house. Perfect hosts. Perfect province. We couldn’t be happier. Chris and Lily have created a gem of a property.. furnished for comfort with a sophisticated understanding of what informal comfort should be. The house came well prepared including kitchen staples and bathroom necessities. I was surprised to find drawers stocked with rubbing alcohol and first aid items. Lots of white, fluffy towels.. everything but a Swedish masseuse. Lily and Chris dropped by to water outdoor plantings and see that we were okay. My wife said talking to Lily was like catching up wit a lifelong friend. The scenery was breathtaking.. Trinity in sight across the bay. The girls and young women servers we encountered at restaurants were wholesome and willing to chat. They personified the pleasant character Newfoundlanders are known for. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful waterfront home in Port Rexton. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed by the incredibly friendly and communicative hosts (Lily and Chris) – they truly went above and beyond to make our stay special.
The home itself was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly located with stunning views. There was so much to do in the area! We loved hiking the breathtaking Skirwink Trail, going whale watching, and exploring local scene. One of the highlights was dining at the Twine Loft- an unforgettable experience with amazing food and atmosphere.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Bellecroft House. From the moment we checked in, Lily and Chris were extremely accommodating and gracious hosts. They walked us through the property and made sure we knew how everything worked. The property was spotless, with brand new renovations just recently completed. The property is set on private beachfront which feels extremely secluded and intimate, perfect for a weekend away with my husband and our friends. My husband and I loved our stay at the Bellcroft house, it is a very comfortable house, everything is new, very clean, beautiful furnishings which includes local artwork and the amenities are top notch right down to the TP. The view, what can you say, it’s amazing, and you can see it from all rooms.
